Zuckerberg Will Never Know What You're Up To On the EP-133
I was driving back from LA yesterday and today I thought of yet another benefit of the EP-133: it has no Wi-Fi. It barely connects to your computer. And you can do yer backup on an external disk.
So Zuckerberg will never know what you're up to.
Although I love my Key 37 and I love the Push 3, which are my main kind of instruments, they're always on Wi-Fi, which sketches me out a little bit.
One, you can get a weird update. Two, if I have to re-sign in at a gig or something on that Key 37, I will freak. Then I'll have to tether it to my phone, and then it'll always try to tether, and that'll just make me very, very sad.
Anyway, there's a real benefit to—Not a benefit. The whole modern benefit of hardware is being disconnected from everything else in the world. The computer is absolutely a viable musical instrument, but it's still your computer, and it does 100 other things.
The more you dig in, the more these EP series just give it right back. In spades.
