Hard Pockets
One of the things that I’ve learned is when you have hard pockets of life — and that’s all the hard parts of life are — they’re just little pockets. You won’t even remember the details down the road, except that they happened.
My advice to all of you, which I hate to give directly too often, is to keep making the music. Don’t stop. Do something. Keep up with it. Don’t abandon it.
I saw so many people in Covid freak out and give up, never to be heard from again. When you check their Instagram or their Facebook, there’s like one or two things about music a year, where there used to be way too much honestly. But can you do too much in this situation? Yes, you can, but that’s not what we’re talking about here. Don’t overdo it is another post.
This is: don’t underdo it.
Keep the music going no matter what, no matter how small. Like Jeff Tweedy says, play for your cat. But do something.
