Frogger Is a Documentary

I got a lot of shizz going on in my life and it’s a weird world right now. Everybody around me feels the same and one of the questions I keep coming back around to in this blog is “the why” when making music.

I was reading an article on Professor Jiang’s Substack today where he references that the only reality is imagination. I don’t know if I 100% yet believe it but I think it should be true so that’s what I’m gonna go with today.

Also today, I lost another friend to suicide and at 54 all bets are off. It’s like Frogger trying to stay alive out here.

So I’m gonna go with nothing’s real and imagination is the thing, for why we all spend so much time making so much music, touching that other thing, grabbing it all from somewhere else.

Bringing them into this world like it’s some kind of mammalistic work, and I like to think that maybe it is you’re doing the work of the living for later.

Hell, I don’t know. It really doesn’t matter. But while I’m making music, I’m living and maybe while someone’s listening to it they’re living too and they’re feeling good about whatever is happening or better or whatever.

I’m gonna make it and release it and on the advice of my doctor you should too.
