Am I the laziest electronica producer on the internet?

I have a theory that doing the blog and doing these gigs and doing all this work and filling up the back catalog is also being pretty lazy. I took a look at streaming and all that last night this morning and all that is real nowheresville. Like super bad, so I'm gonna buck up and follow somebody's program for a few months.

One of the things that I'm not gonna let hold me back is: what I'm doing now is great and what I did before was good but I could do better. Basically, I've always thought what I'm doing now is better than what I did, but I am really into what I'm doing now!

Returning to the feeling of the gig a couple weeks ago, I felt like I really hit a milestone and I just felt great.

So my two goals are this:

  1. build streaming
  2. build live

I don't want to wait on building streaming to build live or build live to build streaming because that's just basically using one or the other is an excuse. I am going to try to get both into high gear with pretty high goals: hundreds of thousands of streams and $5,000 a week in some sort of musical revenue, which I know is a ridiculous goal. But look, if you're not going for ridiculous, what are you doing? Even if I did 1000 a week in music it would be amazing as we all know there's typically 52 weeks in a year. 52K pays for a lot of whatever.

I've been making some decent money lately with music which all revolves around playing live. Between Bass, between DJ, and almost 0 dollars with the electronic music thing, I do have a very good floor to work off of. A

I do know that a lot of people would listen to this music if I actually told people about it. There's 100,000 songs put on streaming every day, and that doesn't matter a bit because you've got to get this stuff in front of people at the end of the day.

I'm will find out whether it's ads or whether it's community building or whether it's a mix of both because those seem to be the two.

I know at the end of the day I'm not lazy. I just need to direct my energy to things that actually build what I'm trying to do.
