A Good Day at BLK Vinyl
Played a cool acoustic gig with Katherine tonight at BLK Vinyl on the Eastside. We’ve never done an acoustic show before and with the tiny exception of one chord on my part it went fantastic, and I covered my ass on that chord.
It’s the last show before she has her baby. Kind of sad about it.
It’s been a ton of work over the past few months, but really satisfying, and I really enjoyed playing the guitar live again, especially the acoustic.
I bought one of those Highway Series Fenders a while back for travel and I’ve really enjoyed playing it. It’s nothing I have to worry about, not like my old Martin. Sounds good enough, and you know it’s fun to play and the slim line of it is really nice.
Anyway she sounded great. She was worried about her voice because of her reflux, but that was no problem.
We had a rehearsal today and then the show. It was a good day, one of those kind of days that makes all the work worth it.
